Graveside services for Raymond V. Suggs, age 92, a resident of the Bill Nichls Veteran’s Home, formerly of Clay County, were held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Hillview Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Alexander City Honor Guard. Rev. Steve Dyess will officiate. The family received friends on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Bass Funeral Home.

Mr. Suggs passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2008 at Bill Nichols Veterans Home in Alexander City. He was born in Clay County on July 13, 1915 to Jack and Elizabeth Gillam Suggs. He served in the United States Army during World War Ii and was a member of Kellyton Baptist Church.
