Rebecca Yates could have purchased green beans, tomatoes and squash from any grocery store in town, but she didn’t mind getting up at day break Saturday to be among the first customers to purchase the fresh produce available at the downtown Farmers Market.

Yates was one of hundreds of people who bought tomatoes, beans, squash, cucumbers and fresh honey from the local growers in the area.
