Benjamin Russell falls to Clay Central in non-area play 

The Benjamin Russell girls basketball team fell to Clay Central, 61-59, on Friday night. 

For the Wildcats, Ami Edwards led the way in scoring, finishing with 19 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and two blocks. Amari Cunningham finished close behind with 17 points and 17 rebounds — picking off four passes for steals and one block. Gabby McKinney added 13 points of her own, hitting three 3-pointers against the Volunteers. Ka’Mariya Banks and Ryleigh Ruffin each finished with five points apiece.
