If there is one thing Daniel Flowers is trying to do during his tenure as the football coach is to remove the notion that Central Coosa is a basketball school. And after two years, the conversation is picking up steam.Â
The Cougars had missed the playoffs for a decade heading into 2025; however, just like all good things — streaks were meant to be broken. Central Coosa found its stride in region play, enough to clinch the No. 4 seed in a region that has had the last two Class 2A state title contenders in Reeltown and Lanett. The region does not change all that much other than a few additions, but Flowers looks to keep that playoff dream alive in Coosa County.
