Coach of the Year: Daniel Flowers breaks Central Coosa’s 10-year streak

Everyone counted Central Coosa out heading into the 2025 football season. The team was coming off a 1-9 season with its first-year head coach, Daniel Flowers, while the 37-year program had made the playoffs three times and had only one winning season under its belt. 

It wouldn’t have been too far gone to say this year would just be another losing season for the Cougars, and that Flowers was wasting his time as a coach. And he heard plenty of that from the people around him.
