Coach of the Year: Tammy Merrett leads Reeltown to a year of firsts

When Tammy Merrett assumed the mantle of the Reeltown volleyball program, she was doing so with little to no knowledge of the game under her belt. Her high school did not have a volleyball team, and the knowledge she gained from coaching came through basketball.

However, even with the cards stacked against her, that did not stop Merrett from becoming a student of the game. She reached out to friends who had volleyball experience, attended coaching clinics and even watched films on her own. All of which culminated in Reeltown having one of its best seasons in program history, and for her efforts, Merrett is the Outlook Volleyball Coach of the Year.
