An Alexander City man found himself in the Tallapoosa County Jail after being arrested for drug trafficking on March 12.

Carl Fredrick Russell Jr., 23, of Alex City, was arrested by the Alexander City Police Department near Hillabee Street and 8th Avenue while in possession of more than 28 grams of ecstasy, also known as MDMA. He was also found with approximately 12 grams of marijuana and subsequently charged with first-degree possession.Â
