‘We have a problem’ Alex City Schools faces rise in vaping

Superintendent Dr. Beverly Price addressed Alexander City Schools Board of Education last week regarding the prevalence of vaping among the school system’s students. 

A dangerous habit is spreading among Alexander City youth. 

Alexander City Schools Superintendent Dr. Beverly Price declared vaping and related-smoking habits a serious issue during a regularly called board of education meeting Thursday, November 17.

Dr. Marilyn Lewis addressed board members as a representative of the nonprofit organization KinderVision Foundation and elaborated on the harmful health effects associated with vaping.
