PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Consistency sets Charlie Lumpkin apart for Wildcats

Benjamin Russell baseball coach Richy Brooks has coached quite a few Lumpkins through his 37 years at the helm. The first of the bunch was Huell, who lettered all four years in high school before eventually making stops at CACC and AUM. The next was Chance, who had a similar path, also suiting up for the Trojans at CACC.

And now, Brooks is on his third Lumpkin, Charlie, who might have had the best season of the bunch — so much so that Brooks is wishing a fourth Lumpkin was on their way through the Benjamin Russell program.
