Player of the Year: Lydia Montgomery displays her skillset for Wildcats

There is a common saying, “Save the best for last.”

Lydia Montgomery exuded that sentiment in her senior year for the Benjamin Russell softball team. Despite a rough start to the season, Montgomery and the Wildcats rallied together to reach the Class 6A Area 5 championship game and place their ticket to the Class 6A Regionals for the first time since the 2023-2024 season.
