The Alexander City City Council voted to honor police chief Jay Turner and deputy police chief James Easterwood during its regular meeting Monday night.

Both Turner and Easterwood have announced their retirements from the Alexander City Police Department. District 4 councilor Eric Brown sponsored resolutions to name two areas of the police department after the retiring leadership.
