SEASON PREVIEW: Benjamin Russell has plenty of pieces for another deep run 

The culture shift within the Benjamin Russell football team locker room is quite apparent under coach Kirk Johnson. When he took over, the Wildcats were coming off a 5-6 season, falling in the first round of the playoffs.

Now, a year into his tenure, the team is coming off a 12-2 season and a semifinal appearance for the first time since 2015. And now, Johnson looks to replicate that same magic in his second year at the helm, and he has plenty of talent to do so. Littered throughout the lineup are players with a clear path to playing at the next level, most belonging to the members of the defensive line. Yet still, there is plenty to be excited about once the season rolls around.
