Wildcats take second in first tournament of the year

Just like every high school sport, there is a constant revolving door of incoming and departing student-athletes. Sometimes it can even be a make-or-break for some teams when some of the team’s best leave — but not for the Benjamin Russell anglers.

The Wildcats lost five seniors from last year’s group, including three-time national title contenders Davis Barnett and Jackson Fuller. But just like it has over the years, the Wildcats adapted and overcame, further proving why they are in contention every year for a state title.
