After all these months, who would have thought that COVID-19 and its nasty variants would be so prominent in our lives? As much as we would like to think otherwise, it seems apparent that the world is moving toward a new normal to which we will have to adjust. Apparently, COVID, in some form, is here to stay.

The hospitality industry, specifically food and beverage, continues to be hard hit and is perhaps the sector putting up the strongest fight to come back. Product shortages, supply chain and staffing issues are forcing restaurant operators to rethink their strategies. As food and transportation costs rise, we could expect to see those increases on the menus as well. Staffing and product shortages have led many restaurants to open fewer days in order to survive.
