Keep your eyes off the flagstick

A few weeks back, I received a call from one of my favorite people, Betsy Iler, the editor-in-chief for TPI’s magazine division. As I was retiring from my position as men’s golf coach at Central Alabama Community College, she asked if I would be interested in writing a quarterly article for Lake magazine. I spent the first half of my adult life as a club golf professional, specializing in teaching. The second half of my adult life has been here in Alexander City, working as the head coach for CACC. Although similar – distinctively different.
