The Plastic Worm

Black and purple rubber fishing worm

To this day, there’s likely never been more bass caught on another rig besides a plastic worm. These days, bass have seen it all. We’re presenting more baits to more fish at more times of the year than ever before. Whether “fishing” has grown as a sport is an ongoing debate, but what goes without question is that “fishing pressure” has increased exponentially.

It’s probably a stretch to say the fish get “educated,” but there’s also no better way to make the point. As fish get caught over time, even if released, there’s undoubtedly some level of “memory” that makes it tougher to trick them the next time – and especially the next and the next.
