Bucket List for Summer at Lake Martin

Summer makes me feel like a kid and sometimes the best lessons come from 5-year-olds. My 5-year-old nephew, JB, lives in Florida, and recently made a summer bucket list. I saw it on Instagram and asked his parents to share it with me. It is so simple, and I hope it inspires all of us to make our own bucket list for summer 2026.

As for me, my summer is kicking off strong! Memorial Day was full of friends, breakfast burritos, crawfish boils and rainy afternoons on the dock. You know you have good friends when everyone still has fun in the rain. We stayed up late listening to music, laughing on the porch, playing cards and dancing while snacking on leftovers and frozen pizzas. We also got our first bag of Peanut Point peanuts.
