Growing a Community at New Water Farms

New Water Farms features working fields for the community to dig into.

At the quiet end of Civitan Road in Dadeville sits a 22-acre peninsula that is more than just a farm. To a botanist, it is a prime example in soil health and crop succession. To a local, it’s the place to find the sweetest blueberries in the summertime. But to Robert Brandon, executive director and farm manager of New Water Farms, the land is a ship – a platform designed for a much higher purpose.

“Our overarching mission is we are a working and teaching farm that hosts events to cultivate spiritual growth and renewal,” Brandon said. “We want to refresh, restore and relaunch Christian leaders by promoting Christ-centered, sustainable growth for the body, mind and soul.”
