Russell Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointments of Alex Minter, M.D., and Dr. Ravinder Clayton to the medical staff.

Dr. Minter specializes in oncology/hematology and practices at UAB Medicine – The Cancer Center at RMC. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his internal medicine residency training at UAB. Dr. Minter completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at National Capital Consortium in Washington, D.C., and served as staff physician at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, before relocating to Alabama with his wife, Jennifer and daughters, Lilly and Olivia. Dr. Winter and his wife have family in the area. In fact, he is practicing oncology alongside his sister, Dr. Mary Emily Sheffield.
