Attention female cancer survivors: Would you like to get physically active and provide feedback that could help other cancer survivors get active? Researchers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), in collaboration with Russell Medical Center, are looking for women with a history of cancer to participate in the Find Your BEAT program. The goal of the program is to help women increase their physical activity for improved health and wellbeing.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older and reside in or near Tallapoosa County. Volunteers will be asked to attend several sessions where researchers will collect information about their thoughts on exercise-related topics. Volunteers may also be asked to participate in a BEAT Cancer physical activity program, which will include supervised exercise sessions with a trained professional, group exercise education sessions, instructions for exercising at home and counseling sessions with an exercise professional.
