Renovations spark a new chapter at Idletime Family Center

The crash of bowling pins, the steady whirl of roller skates and the echos of laughter and excited voices have long filled the space of Idletime Family Center. For more than 40 years, those familiar sounds have marked countless birthdays, bowling league nights and family outings in Alexander City.

While the community knows Idletime as a place to spend time together, for the Jones siblings, Michael and Angela, it represents much more – an entire childhood built on nostalgic memories they shared within the venue their father poured his heart into.
