Two-Way Player of the Year: Jaiden Gordon impacts both sides of the ball

When the Tallassee Tigers put the ball in athlete Jaiden Gordon’s hands, they knew they’d get an explosive, momentum-building play in return. After last season, Tallassee coach Lawrence “L.A.” O’Neal challenged Gordon to take the next step, to be the leader the team needed and show the grit and passion that will translate onto the field.

This season, Gordon was an absolute force on the football field. He was involved and active in every aspect of the Tigers’ strategy, week-in and week-out. Gordon started in all three phases of the game, going above and beyond to make a positive impact on the game. Gordon finished the season with just shy of 1,000 all purpose yards with a team-high 14 touchdowns. He was a receiver, a defensive back, a returner and just about everything in between. On defense, Gordon had 23 tackles, three interceptions and three pass break-ups. He is the Elmore County Two-Way Player of the Year.
