Residents in East Tallassee welcomed new sidewalks along Central Blvd last summer and city officials said the newly laid concrete not only adds to the community’s aesthetics but also offers residents a path to good health.
“We want people to get healthy,” Tallassee Mayor Johnny Hammock said. “We want to get them health conscious and have them get out and walk more.”
