At 41 years old, the engine at the Union Volunteer Fire and Rescue was due for a replacement.

Union Volunteer Fire and Rescue or TPI Union Volunteer Fire and Rescue take a photo with the new truck.

As a result of the collaborative efforts of the department’s board, a 2025 KME severe service pumper has been acquired for the fire department. Union assistant fire chief Nick Chaffin said the truck has a 1,500 GPM pump and a 1,000 gallon tank.
