More often than not, Horseshoe Bend’s Brynlee Alford is going to get the better end of any batter placed in front of her.

In her high school debut, Alford made her mark with nine strikeouts in a loss to Benjamin Russell. And from that point on, the number has continued to grow. Now just a handful of games into her junior season, Alford notched a milestone that betters her case to be placed in the AHSAA history books — striking out 500 batters in her career.
