Alexander City Theatre II has received a $65,000 matching grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts to fund its roof project. It will replace the failing structure and secure the theatre building so ACT II can continue serving the community with safe, sustainable and growing arts programs.

With these funds, ACT II will secure more than a roof, it secures its future. It allows ACT II to keep opening doors for children, families and adults to experience the arts, learn new skills and find community. ASCA’s investment strengthens ACT II’s mission and gives Alexander City a theatre that can grow, serve and inspire for years to come. This grant signifies that through this project, Alexander City Theatre II is making Alabama’s communities stronger and the state’s arts and culture sector more vibrant.
