Two weeks into the federal government’s shutdown, residents of Tallapoosa County are not seeing much change in services.

Although many federal agencies and departments are affected by the shutdown including Homeland Security, Treasury, Agriculture, Interior, HUD, Justice, Commerce, Transportation and State, most local offices providing government services are run on a state level and so not affected.
