Newly elected and sworn-in Alexander City city councilwoman Julie Goree was involved in an incident where police were called to the scene Saturday night in downtown Alex City.

According to an incident report, an officer was called to the Happy Mart, a 24-hour convenience store located at 192 Broad St., in reference to a possible fight.
