No arrest has been made in connection with a Jan. 1 shooting in Alexander City.
According to a press release from the Alexander City Police Department, officers responded to Parkway Court at approximately 7:40 p.m. in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers located a Black male, Jarryl Slaughter, 29, of Wadley, in the parking lot with one apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to Russell Medical where he was later pronounced deceased.Â

amounts exceeding five inches locally.
