Built with purpose: Local partners construct ramp for Air Force veteran

A local Air Force veteran getting a ramp was brought to fruition through community partners, but it all started with his daughter. 

Kayla Atchinson knew as her worry deepened and her father, Gerald Atchinson, continued to battle Parkinson’s Disease she needed to do something to bring some ease back into his life. Kayla previously worked for the Domestic Violence Intervention Center. That job connected her with the Lake Martin Area United Way, a partnership that was the starting point for getting a ramp for her father.
