It’d be hard pressed to find a scoring attack better than Central Coosa’s in Class 2A at the moment. The combination of guards Cory Thompson and Waylon Chapman-Allen has shown their ability to score at will, while other players like Jacquez Parker, Ja’Von Thomas and Zaccai Lauderdale also come in as the other scoring options.

All of which was evident in the Cougars' 78-66 win over the Dadeville Tigers on Friday. Thompson carried a bulk of the load with his game-high 26 points, while Chapman–Allen pitched in with 14 and Parker with another 12, respectively. And even the bench pieces got involved with JaQualyn Kelly and Thomas, each scoring nine apiece. But where the team has shown lapses is with its center position, according to coach Richard Bell.
