The Cottage Grove community in Coosa County is the newest recipient of a historical marker.

J.D. Thompson High School Alumni Association members unveil the new Coosa County Training School historical marker Friday morning.

On Friday morning, a crowd gathered at the old Coosa County Training School to celebrate the placement of a marker for the school, which was founded by John R. Savage in 1899 and has served the community in many ways since that time.
