An indicator for a successful program is the success it has early on, and for the Benjamin Russell girls wrestling team — it’s on the right track.

Over the weekend, the Wildcats traveled to Montgomery to participate in the John Abernathy Graetz Invitational. And although combating some injuries and sickness, the team traveled with six girls, all of whom dominated in their weight classes, ending the invitational with a third overall finish on the day and earning the first time the girls wrestling team has brought back hardware in program history.
