After nine years of serving on the New Site Town Council, councilmember Billy Daniel has retired.
An appreciation reception was held for Daniel following the regularly scheduled town hall meeting Monday night. Family, friends, council members and town employees were in attendance.

creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

- Two to four inches of rainfall is forecast Friday morning
through Saturday morning across much of the watch area, with
amounts exceeding five inches locally.
