Alabama legislature submit new congressional map

Last week, Alabama legislators turned in their plan for the new congressional districts. If the plaintiffs file an objection, the district court will have a hearing on Aug 14.

After Alabama’s special legislative session, a new congressional map was submitted to the courts last week. 

The new map keeps Tallapoosa County in District 3. Meanwhile, Coosa County moves to District 6. Then, the southern half of Elmore County remains in District 2 with the northern half in District 6.
