The alleged Memorial Day shooter will remain in custody after he was denied bond at an Aniah’s Law hearing Tuesday morning.

Lajavious Davon Stone, 23, of Bessemer, was arrested following a shooting on May 26 that left one dead. Ultimately, he was denied bond by District Judge Chad Harrison, and he will remain in the Tallapoosa County Jail until his next court date. He was also ordered to have no contact with the witness in the case, who Stone knew at the time of the shooting.
