Eighty years ago, a paratrooper of the 82nd Airborne landed on Omaha Beach. 

That paratrooper was the great grandfather of Mary Carol Rasbury. Rasbury, Horseshoe Bend High School alumna, recently performed in France with the Jacksonville State University Marching Southerners as part of the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
