Submitted / TPI Jason McCullars is the new fire chief at Stillwaters Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue.

After four years, Tim Peterson stepped down as Stillwaters Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue’s chief on Feb. 21. Taking his place is a familiar face — Jason McCullars. 

McCullars got his start in firefighting as a volunteer firefighter with the Dadeville Fire Department in 2012. While volunteering at Dadeville, he also started volunteering with Stillwaters, where he has been the past seven years.
