Many people are remembered for their achievements, and others are remembered for their character. Sherry Ellison Simpson, however, will be remembered for both. 

Simpson cared deeply about improving the community. She served on the Alexander City City Council for District 2 for four years, during which time she made many improvements throughout the city with her passion of improving the community.Â
