Each child in Kristi Jordan’s autism class at Jim Pearson School is a puzzle.

“I always say I’m like the CSI investigator,” said Jordan, who has taught the autistic class at Jim Pearson for nine years. “The puzzle piece is the symbol for autism, and it’s the most perfect symbol there is, because there’s so many different pieces to each child’s puzzle and you have to investigate to see what pieces go together to help that child.”
