Traveling schoolmarm tells Horizons Unlimited of early schoolhouses

They call Susan Webb “the traveling schoolmarm.”

And the Birmingham resident and Iowa native’s interests in the schoolhouses and schoolrooms of yesteryear have taken her across the country, from the tiny square schoolhouses on Connecticut to the larger, more architecturally efficient Julius Rosenwald schoolhouses of the South.
