The Publix development is well underway, land is being cleared at the corner of Highway 280 and Dadeville Road for the Lake Martin Commercial Group, and the county is seemingly getting closer and closer to breaking ground on the new ag center in Jackson’s Gap.
In short, development is picking up steadily in and around Alexander City. With that comes an increase in the amount of trucks on the road.

Freeze Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 10 AM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Trees
could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Frost and
freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and
possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
