From March 2010 through March 2011, Tallapoosa County’s unemployment rate dropped 1.6 percent, meaning 352 more people have jobs this year than last.

The number of unemployed residents in the county is now 12 percent, down from 13.6 percent last year. The rate dropped 0.6 percent from February to March.
