Typically, when winter sports roll around, the thought is about the upcoming basketball season. However, Benjamin Russell kicked off the start of its bowling season on Monday in a match against defending girls' state champions Stanhope Elmore.
Not only was it the first chance to see what is in store for the Wildcats this year, but this was also the first time for many of the bowlers on the team. Even coach Pam Robinson was introduced to what was in store for the group this year, bouncing around from the boys and girls side to see how the team was fairing.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

appropriate shelter from the cold.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
