The Alexander City Council recognized Alexander City Police Officer James Orr recently for his efforts in Operation Lifesaver.
“Operation Lifesaver is an organization that originated in 1972 with the railroad system,” Orr said. “It is to reduce the number of crashes involving vehicles, pedestrians and trains.”
