After being convicted of manslaughter for the shooting death of James “J” Shaw, Bobby Hill will spend 17 years in prison, Circuit Judge Tom Young said Wednesday.

Young sentenced Hill to 17 years in an Alabama correctional facility, with no option for parole. Hill must also pay restitution of $8,967 to Shaw’s family for medical and funeral expenses. In addition, Hill is responsible for all fines, court costs, court-appointed attorney fees and also for any medical expenses incurred during his incarceration.
