The Wetumpka Police Department arrested an Opelika man for theft.

Wetumpka police were brought into the loop on Aug. 19 as the loss prevention team at O’Reilly Auto Parts brought them documentation. According to incident reports from the Wetumpka Police Department, it was alleged that between Jan. 1, 2021 and Aug. 15, 2025 an employee stole $329,484.99 in cash.
