Laura Ann Gipson, 65, passed away on October 10, 2025, in Alexander City. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Born to the late William Joseph Paulk and Mary Etta Paulk, Laura was the beloved wife of Kenneth Gipson for 44 years and the proud mother of two sons, Ken and Jake. She is also survived by her brothers, Jimmy, Bobby, and Tommy.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.
* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.
* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy conditions
will result in critical fire weather conditions. Outdoor burning
is not recommended. Current wildfires could worsen due to the
winds.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
