The Alexander City municipal election is, mercifully, over.

Leading up to it was an unfortunate sight to see, to say the least. The initial campaign was fairly above board, but the runoff between current Mayor Woody Baird and Mayor-elect Mike Densmore saw a lot of mudslinging and name-calling. And it happened on both sides.
