After a very promising start to the season, the Auburn softball team has run headlong into the proverbial brick wall. They opened the year with a record of 17-6 in out of conference games and won the first series in conference play against Kentucky taking two games out of three against the Wildcats. The Tigers’ pitching wasn’t great through the first 26 games, but it was solid and the offense was producing runs.

Unfortunately, as the level of competition began to rise, the Auburn pitching and hitting began to fall apart. The Tigers have now lost 12 straight conference games and have only scored two runs total in their last six games.
